I have been known to take the dogs to a place for their baths, but I had the time and I was only planning on bathing Kahla, which is easy. I normally bath them both, one after the other. Yogi always goes first for many reasons…he takes longer to dry and when the water starts running he goes jumping in, while Kahla runs away to name a few. While last night, I was ONLY bathing Kahla, or so I thought.
About 5 minutes into the bath, I thought Yogi was going to bust our bathroom door in, so I let him into the bathroom, BIG mistake. He proceeds to jump in the tub on Kahla and start splashing around. I then kicked him out, even BIGGER mistake. He has dirty paw and is kind of wet, so he shakes all over the bathroom and start leaving footprints, which he likes, so then he starts jumping in and back out of the tub and leaving his mark all over our bathroom.
By the time the bathing was over; Yogi was as wet as Kahla, there was an inch of standing water on our floor, I was soaked, water marks reached to the top of our mirror, and there were muddy paw prints all over our fuzzy white rugs.
Funny thing, Yogi was so darn proud of himself. He sat there the whole time I cleaned the bathroom and licked the water on the floor, constantly nudging me and I just cursed his name.
Below are a couple pictures of his handiwork.

Baby News
Hi all - here is my little baby update.
It is time to start getting ready for this baby. So far we have registered at Babies R US and Target. It is pretty much the same stuff at both, but easier when you have two options to shop from. By the way, if any of you experienced moms have input on the registry feel free to give it. We are new at this and not sure if we have everything we need. Plus, we may have some useless stuff as well. I am open to suggestions.
My showers have been scheduled. I am having a shower in Pittsburgh on March 7th, hosted by my mom. We are also having a shower in Colorado on March 14th, hosted by Ricky's mom. This will be a couples shower. We hope all you guys can make it.
I still do not know specifics on the baby room, but we did find furniture we really like, so that has been ordered. Of course, we are getting a changing table and such, which is not shown here.
I know it will be a jungle theme as well. If we could get Yogi to quit ripping apart stuffed animals we are planning on getting those large stuffed guys. I know I want a giraffe and an elephant. I think we need one more to complete the jungle look.
Besides that, the little guy is busy kicking away. He is going to be a soccer player (don't worry Ricky, that is just an expression). He kicks to the point now where my shirt moves, which is pretty fun to watch. I think that is all for the baby update.
Ricky is back to recruiting and is jet set most weeks. We miss him (hurry home).

Pittsburghs going to the Superbowl!
Last night the Pittsburgh Steelers clinched the 2008 AFC Champion title, winning them the chance to go to the 43rd Superbowl. Although I am alcohol free these days does not mean I was not partying like a "rock star" last night after the big win. OK, so we played Rock band on the Wii and I fell asleep about an hour after the game ended...give me a break.
I got this picture taken at the airport after a game last year. I never got a chance to post it, so I am posting it now.
These are just some cool pixs.

Christmas 2008
Again, the post is late, but I wanted to get the pictures up there. This year was the best Christmas ever. I think I say that every year, but I don’t know how we could beat this one (well maybe, we will have the little guy next Christmas).
This year we had Christmas all over the US. First trip was with the dogs out to Denver the weekend before Christmas. We celebrated first at Ricky’s dad’s house. What a way to start, we got a Wii! This has already led to many fun nights. We also got bowling and rockband and all kinds of fun accessories! Next we had Christmas with Deb (Ricky’s mom). That lady can throw a Christmas. We opened box after box. I was glad we had the Jeep; I did not think we were ever going to get all that stuff back to Manhattan. Obviously, all the gifts were great, my personal favorite out there...the cutest diaper bag ever! Love it!
Next we headed back to Kansas for Christmas in Manhattan. Lucky me…I did great again!! I think Ricky took a lesson from Deb and I was flooded with wonderful presents there as well. He even wrapped up the gifts. Ricky, on the other hand, had a boring Christmas in Manhattan. I am hoping that he is still flying high on the big birthday gift (duel tap kegerator).
Next stop was Pittsburgh; we headed out very early on Tuesday morning and made it to Pittsburgh with little delay. This is unlike my poor brother and very pregnant sister-in-law who spent about 72 hours traveling and sitting at airports while their flights were continually cancelled, all with my one year old nephew. So many things went wrong that it would take too long to explain. I think they need to write a book!
Christmas in Pittsburgh was the usual and it was wonderful!! Family and dinners and lots of friends. We had a great time with Jackson (1 year old nephew). He is so easy to love, probably because he loves everyone and eats anything and loves to explore. He is a treat to spend time with. Ricky got a little baby practice when he changed his very first diaper, pictures below.
Christmas day was wonderful, again the flood of gifts. I got everything I asked for and more, which is fun. We had the aunts and uncles and cousins over that day and enjoyed our 1st annual White Elephant gift exchange. The next day was recovery and Saturday I started spending those gift cards. We also took some time Saturday and met up with friends at Jerome Bettis’s new restaurant.
Sunday was game day and what a way to end our trip. I great tailgate followed by a SHUT-OUT of the Browns. Gotta love that. My dad’s Big Ben sign even made the national news. Way to go Dad!
Next day it was back to Kansas and our dogs. I have to admit, I was a little sad. I don’t know the next time we will get to spend the holidays with so much family. I will wish for a Bowl game every year, but I will never forget the Christmas we spent with EVERYONE!
Unfortunately I did not take many pictures in Pittsburgh or Denver...bummer.

It's A Boy!
Hi All! Back in December, Ricky and I went for my 20 week sonogram. I know it has taken forever to get these up here, but the holidays had me busy!! I love the one of his foot. He is a giant and he has giant baby feet to match!
I cannot wait to meet the little guy. He sure does a lot of kicking. I started feeling a more solid and constant kicking over Christmas. It is really fun during the day, it serves as a constant reminder. Of course...the fact that I cannot roll up to my computer, my belly hits the desk, it also a pretty constant reminder.
Ricky got to feel little kicks the other night as well. I could tell from his face that he was pretty excited (and shocked).
Enjoy the pictures. I know they can be kind of creepy, but they are beautiful to me.
