Kansas State vs. Montana State

This past Saturday was Fort Riley day at the field. The Big Red One was the honored guest and everything from Willie the Wildcat to the players walk out was camouflage and in full military style. The soldiers also assisted Willie in the 3rd and 4th quarter touchdowns with all the push ups. The soldiers had great form...even when the score reached the sixties.

Ricky and I disd our part by contributing some of our ticketrs to a couple nice soldiers I met at Walmart! I hope they enjoyed the game!

Again the Wildcats laid down a butt whipping. The final score was 69 to 10. The defense and special team both had a great showing with 2 touchdowns a piece. the offense was looking good and the running backs continue to improve and spread the time around. This week Logan Dold and Justin Woods both ran in their first Wildcat touchdowns. Way to go Guys!

There is no game this weekend, due tot he Wednesday game next week against Louisville, so the coaches will be off recruiting.

Bye Ricky...we will miss you at home!

Steelers vs. Texans

Sunday was a rough and slow day at the Rahne house. I had a lot of outdoor work to get done and I busted my butt to complete it by 1pm, so I could go watch football. Well, I don't know where my mind was, but football in Kansas starts at noon on Sunday. So, although I did miss the start of the game. A new extension of an old bar in town is now going to play the Steelers games with sound. This is much nicer than watching Pittsburgh on TV, but always listening to the Chiefs game which is on two channels at every ones house. Go home you locals and watch it on your own TV! Besides the point...I was able to watch and listen to the sounds of the Steelers crushing the Houston Texans. They looked awesome.

I am also going to redirect our blog. There is no way there is a cuter Steelers fan than my nephew. Check him out in his little jeans and Polamalu jersey.

K-State vs. North Texas

K-State is off to a great start. They started the year with a 45-6 win over North Texas. The running backs made a good showing with a touchdown in the first 2 minutes. The offense in general was pretty hot. All in all the team looks good and I am hoping for an amazing season.

During halftime 4 past Wildcats were inducted into the Ring of Honor, David Allen, Martin Gramatica, Terence Newman and Mark Simoneau. They were honored at halftime and stuck around afterwards and I got to meet them. Nice guys.

Steeler Dogs

These pictures are from a preseason game a couple weeks ago. I don’t know how I forgot to post them. The other dog was Kahla and Yogi’s friend Madi. She stayed with us for four days. She is young enough to keep Yogi busy and out of Kahla’s hair, but old enough to leave Kahla completely alone. It was perfect. It is amazing that having three dogs was easier than having two. Don’t worry Ricky…I’m not suggestion anything. I have a hard enough time walking these two goofs!

Yogi’s Birthday Continued

Finally Yogi received his birthday treats. That “dinosaur bone” was gone in less than one hour. Of course, it was stolen a couple times by Kahla, but Yogi managed to get it back in the end.
