Christmas Time in Kansas

Christmas time in Kansas was not exactly how we had planned. Unfortunately, we had a stomach bug and spent the day feeling awful! We did manage to open our gifts and get some cute pictures.

Ryder opened some presents from Granny and Pup Pup in Kansas, one of them was his own little chair. He loves his chair!

Christmas #2 (December 22, 2009)

I have my own chair. Just in time for watching Bowl Games with Daddy!

Pittsburgh Christmas

Ryder was lucky enough to celebrate Christmas 3 times! It was his first Christmas, so we wanted to see all the grandparents. Christmas started in Pittsburgh, the weekend before the 25th.

It was a fun weekend. Ryder went to visit Granny's school and met her friends and students. We hung out with Pup Pup's family on Friday and Granny's family on Saturday. We celebrated Christmas Sunday morning. Ryder also made a trip to see his great great Aunts on Sunday, which was a good time. Lastly, we met the Rudolph family and watched the Steelers game, it was a bit of a nail biter but the Steelers were victorious!

Enjoy the pictures.

I love Christmas!!

Later Sunday...Steelers gametime. I met Aunt Lorraine for the first time. I also met Uncle Paul, but no photo documentation of that one.

Christmas is exhausting, so I fell asleep in my chair. I learned this trick from Pup Pup

Santa's little helper

Ryder met Santa this weekend, twice. We were out shopping and got his picture taken with two Santas. The Santas were everywhere! The first meeting, Ryder mainly stared at Santa. He was not sure about this hairy guy. The second Santa went a little smoother. With the help of a little red haired girl, Ryder even managed a smile. Again, he is such a flirt!

I am sure Ryder will never remember his first meeting with Santa, but it is a moment I will never forget. Christmas is amazing with Ryder in our lives!

Gym Time

We had a great weekend that started off with a visit to the gym. Ryder's babysitter and our great friend, Neva, invited us to the join her and her son for a day at the gym. Although Ryder was unable to partake in the balance beams and rings, trampolines and rope swings, he had a great time just crawling around and playing in the pool of sponges. Not to mention, checking out the girls. The little man is quite the flirt!

Snow Angel

Just a moment ago we took Ryder out to enjoy his first snowfall. There is barely any snow laying on the ground, but come morning we expect to see a couple inches. Although Ryder DEFINITELY did not enjoy putting on his snowsuit, he did like his brief time in the snow. He made a snow angle and ate a snowball and just sat and watched Yogi run around eating the snow. Enjoy the pictures.

Ryder's Half Birthday

I know Ryder is closer to 7 months now, but we never did a post for Ryder's big half birthday. Looking through my pictures I cannot believe how much Ryder has changed in 6 short months.

6 month stats:
Weight: 20 lbs 6 oz (86%)
Height: 28.5" (93%)
Head: 45.5 cm (90%)

He is growing at a steady rate. Enjoy the pictures!

Grandparents Visit Round 3

Granny and Pup Pup (my mom and dad) came to town last weekend to visit the Rahne family. It was a great weekend to visit, we had Ryder's 6 month pictures taken Friday (& Sunday) and we had a big game on Saturday!

Pictures went as well as can be expected. For some reason, our smiley little man does NOT like the camera. I should get them soon, I hope there are some good ones.

The game went awesome!! KSU beat in state rival, KU. It was a great game and we enjoyed every minute. I was glad to see Ricky get a victory over those darn Jayhawks, his first one. Two more weeks of football, Let's Go Cats...let's see two more big wins!

Sunday was a sad day as we said goodbye to Granny and Pup Pup, but we will see them again soon. With no Steelers football on Sunday, we went to bed early an anticipation for a big Monday Night Football game with (the in family rivals) the Broncos. The Broncos held their own but in the end fell to the mighty black and gold.
