Vegas Baby Vegas, Trip #3

Ricky turned 30 this year and for his big birthday I surprised him with a trip to Vegas. There we met his 2 friends and their wives/girlfriends. It was so much fun! Thanks to Nick and Mo, Shane and Tessa for making it an awesome trip. Thanks to Deb (Nini) and Claire for babysitting.

Quick trip to Denver - Trip #2

We took a one day trip to Denver as soon as we got back from San Diego. While there Ricky's sister, Amy, surprised everyone by getting married! Congrats to Amy and Brian. We are so very happy for you!

San Diego, Final Post

OK, the final post is just a bunch of pictures from our week of fun in San Diego.

Our arrival...Ryder hugging Uncle Tommy

My sandman...Ryder LOVED the sand. It started off dry and cute and then turned into a stick, sandy mess, but he loved it even when it was caked on his face. See the evolution of the sandman...

Eating dinner with the whole family, this picture was trying calamari for the first time. He ended up loving it...its food, of course he loved it.

After dinner, we had dessert at ColdStone. Ryder eating his mint ice cream. Gross! It is the only ice cream he likes.

The boys golfing at famous Torrey Pines

Eating watermelon with PupPup

Out on the pier, we saw dolphins right before this picture

Sea World

I don't know who was more excited for Sea World, the kids or me. Much like the big days before, the kids did great! These were very long, hot days and we were there for hours and had very few complaints. Sea World was a bit tougher, since we sat and watched shows. Ryder did OK at Shamu, not really interested, but when it came to the dolphin show, he could not takes his eyes off the flipping dolphins and crazy birds. That being said, his favorite was probably the Sea Lions, who kept barking at us and Ryder barked back. He also loved the Stingrays, which he made him giggle to pet, but he eventually poked the stingray in the eye and the stingray splashed us and everyone around us. It was so funny!

Ryder and I soaked from the stingray

The Sea lions, he doesn't look like he liked it...but he did.

San Diego Zoo

My mom always does some extra school activities and made some fun cash for vacation, with that she treated us all to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World!! First set of pictures is the zoo. Ryder, much like his mom, LOVES animals. He wanted to touch everything! His favorite part was petting the goats, but I think he liked the giraffes too.

On the elephant with Jackson, drinking and driving

Ryder having mama drama, with his llama in red pajamas, in front of the real llamas (say that 5 times fast!)

My favorite was the giraffes...I swear I was not going to post pictures of animals unless there was a person in them, but I could not help myself.

Ryder and I watching the giraffes, we were so close, I was afraid they were going to reach their long necks out and start eating Ryder's goldfish! (not so much afraid...as really hoping they would!)

The Rahne Family...I swear there was an elephant back there, he just did not make the picture. oops.

Granny bought each kid a toy...Ryder loved his San Diego Zoo stuffed Panda

Summer Vacation Part 1, San Diego

Summer vacation has come to an end for the Rahne family. We had a wonderful time, we traveled coast to coast...literally. Out vacation time started in San Diego with my family (Neubergers). My parents treat us to a family vacation every other year...thank you mom and dad. It is so fun having the 3 kiddos together. We took so many pictures, I am breaking it up into 4 posts. First post...Padres game. This was all of the kids first professional baseball game and they did great. All three made it to the end of the game, and were cheery and pleasant the whole time. The Padres lost that night (boo) but we had a great time cheering them on. Thanks to Ricky (and his friend Rob) for getting the whole family tickets and giving us a tour of the facility and all the fun Padres clothes and memorabilia. Enjoy the pictures.

I love the pictures of the three kids. They are never all looking in the same direction, and of course, Ryder is never smiling, but they always look so cute!Front! In front of Mr. Padre

Back! Watching batting practice.

Before the game

Hanging out with Uncle Mike (maybe he can use Ryder to pick up a girl from the Tilted Kilt)
