Recent Pictures

I'm taking the idea from my sister-in-law. Sometimes I just want to post a couple cute pictures, but there is no real story (or one you don't feel like sharing...but will now). So, here are a couple pictures from the past few weeks.

I finally have the calmed down enough to post these pictures. Ryder had his first trip to the ER on 4/28 at about 11pm. We were there for under 5 hours and the doctors and nurses at Mercy were a great help. Ryder had a febrile seizure. I woke up in the night to a scream and went in to check on Ryder. When I picked him up he started seizing in my arms. Unfortunately, Ricky was in California. But, I held it together and got Ryder and I to the ER and all checked in before I finally broke down.

The scream was caused by a fever spike which triggered the seizure, this fever which I thought I was managing with Tylenol and Motrin (both of which have been recalled since for inactive ingredients).

The initial stuff was very scary, lots of poking sand prodding and beeping. They had to use standard seizure protocol, which contains the patient, which is awful as well.

Ryder was wonderful and it was a great ego booster to see that when he saw me or when I held him his heart rate immediately dropped to a safer level. He loves me.

The pictures are taken close to when they released us. Ryder's crying because he was tired...it was 3am. The next couple days we took it easy. I stayed home and we played blocks and legos and pound-a-peg.

Sad & Tired baby...

The next day...all better and playing with the cool giraffe I made from Ryder's mega blocks. Sweet right?

On a happier note...

Ryder should have been named "Pusher". He pushes his cozy coupe everywhere. He even pushes the little girls across the street around in it. He is pretty strong!

More pushing...

And more pushing...

This is my favorite look. Anytime something is going on that he is not sure about...Ryder looks at me like this, as if to say...are you sure you want this girl picking me up? or are you sure I should go down this slide?

OK, no more ER pictures...just happy, cute stuff.
