Happy Birthday Ryder

Ryder's birthday lasted the whole weekend. We kicked it off with lunch and cupcakes with Ricky at his office. Saturday was the Spring Game, which was a great time. Sunday was the birthday party. It was freezing cold and so windy that we were unable to put out Ryder's decorations (in fear that they will fly away), but the kids had a great time and that was all that mattered. There are many more details, but I will let the pictures do the talking.

Happy Birthday Breakfast...Ryder was laughing at my singing.

As of Friday, Ryder's gifts had not been delivered, so we drove down to the Post Office and picked them up. There were so many boxes, they had me pull around to the loading dock. We have some great videos of some of the gifts Ryder got on Friday. I will post those later in the week.

These start the Birthday Party pictures.

This is our cool cowboy hat birthday cake, it kind of looks like a butt in this picture. In person it was a pretty cool birthday cake.

This is our sweet little one year old...he was so tired after his party that he fell asleep on the 3 minute ride home.

After a nice long nap...Ryder was ready to play with all his new toys!

He was not a huge fan of cake, cupcakes or any of it...it's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

Lastly, our jerk dog eating Ryder's cake. Busted!

Some Early Birthday Videos

The first video is Ryder climbing the slide he got from Nini (Deb). He loves going up, but not coming down.

The next videos is an early birthday gift from Granny and Pup Pup (Joan and Don). Ryder is cruising in his Cozy Coupe, the #1 selling vehicle in America for the past 30 years. (haha) We love how it took Ryder about 2 days to really get the hang of driving, one hand on the wheel and one hanging out the window. So Cool!

Easter 2010

Happy Easter!!
Ryder's first Easter went down as a success. Not much to report, just a visit to church, nap, visit to the park, more napping and a big dinner!!

Saturday we went and took a picture with the Easter bunny at the Mall. Ryder was not really a fan. Can you blame him?

Visiting Daddy at Practice

On Friday, we decided to stop by Ricky's practice and cheer for him. We surprised him with a cool new jersey, sporting the Rahne name!

While we were there, Ryder decided to run some bleachers...he made it 37 bleachers. Not bad!

After practice, Ryder joined the team in the locker room. I am sure it was fun, I met them later since the locker room is boys only.

Check out our cute pictures from the day.

Yogi & Me

I officially own the largest Marley (Marley & Me). I need to start writing down the terrible things Yogi does on a daily basis. Just to give you guys a quick glimpse into a 24 hour stay with Yogi. Last night was beautiful, Ryder and I decide to take a walk to the park. We are gone almost two hours, but the dogs have already been fed and let out, they should be relaxing. Not my Yogi…he managed to jump through the front screen window (destroying our screen in the process), out into our front yard. Luckily, he is lazy and I found him sitting on the back deck. Thank goodness he did not decide to take a tour of our neighborhood, he is a pretty big beastly looking dog these days and would easily scare most folks! No real casualties here…except the window screen.

So, today I forgot my cell phone at home. I managed to pick it up at 11:15am, I let out the dogs and decided that since I will be back for lunch (in 45 minutes), I can leave Yogi upstairs…all windows closed. Seems I was wrong. I got home at noon and Yogi’s seizure pills were all over the kitchen floor. He managed to eat 60 of them (not good) along with some Benadryl, a cardboard box, gum and some other things that were on the kitchen counter. At this point I freak, he now has 54,000 mg of potassium bromide in his system. I rush him to the vet where they proceed to pump his stomach. I leave him there and head back to work.

He has been at the vet for about an hour when I get a call…”so far Yogi has thrown up a sock, underwear, a sponge and tin foil????” in the spirit of April Fool’s day, I ask if they found anything valuable…who knows?? The vet tells me, clearly disgusted with my care for animals, I need to keep a better eye on Yogi. If only he knew I love this dog more than I like most people. Oh well, I am mortified.

Another day with Yogi has past…what will happen tomorrow.
