My First Baby Shower

This past weekend I traveled to Pittsburgh to visit my family and experience my very first baby shower. It was fantastic. My mom hosted the party at Atria's. They did a beautiful job with our little room and the food was great. Of course you had to save room because we had more dessert then we could possibly finish. My Aunt Chris baked some delicious cupcakes, we had a cute little Baby Rahne candy bars, Lorraine sent baby blue smiley cookies and of course there was ice cream cake!! There were splashes of baby blue all around and my dad surprised me with one of his handmade toy trains which we had out on display.

It was great seeing so many people and opening the cute little baby presents. I received some great outfits and books and a ton of gift cards. I was so happy that along with the Pittsburgh crew, Amy Crone made the trek from Maryland. It was great having her there.

I posted a couple pictures, I have to admit, I was scared to post since you can officially see how huge I am now!! I guess that is what comes with being pregnant!

RIP our friend the bird

For about one week, we had a feather friend knocking at our glass around the house. I admit, it was annoying, but since it was relatively quiet and it entertained Yogi...I was cool with it. I took the video early this week.

I came to the conclusion that the bird made its nest with Yogi fur last year or maybe it was a young bird and was born in a nest of Yogi fur. Either way, the bird was constantly throwing himself/herself at our glass to get to Yogi.

Unfortunately on Thursday I found the bird laying dead at the back door. The bird had died trying to get to Yogi. Clearly the love and admiration that bird had for Yogi was not returned as Yogi proceeded to snatch the dead bird up and play ball with it for a while only stopping when I finally grabbed the dead bird from him with a gloved hand. Disgusting!

This brings us back to bird reality...even birds we think are our friends are horrible disgusting feathered rats that end up trouble in the end!

The Ice Man

I guess Yogi is getting worried about this whole baby thing and has decided to start taking care of himself. See attached video of our self sufficient Yogi Bear. Note: I am fully aware that I run the risk of no one using the ice at our house ever again, but I thought it was far too funny not to share.

This is not the video I wanted to post, but i have no idea how to get the edited one up here. Sorry. Just turn your head to the side and enjoy.
