Superbowl Saint

I would have obviously preferred the Steelers be in the Superbowl, but since the Saints is the only other jersey Ryder has...we were Saints fans on Sunday. (Plus, they are black and gold)

Yes, Ryder has a Saints jersey. Our friend Justin purchased Ryder a Reggie Bush jersey when he was born. So, come Super Bowl Sunday, Ryder was ready to cheer on the New Orleans Saints. Enjoy the pictures.

Recent Pictures

We have taken a couple random pictures over the past weeks. Enjoy. They include a nice visit from Nini (Deb - Ricky's mom). Thanks for coming Deb!!

My new favorite toy...a box

Crawling Competition

What can I say...we were not successful. Ryder was one of four "babies" to take the court. He was the largest little man out there, but he was the youngest by 3 months. We knew then we were in for a tough race.

The good news, he never cried. We thought the lights and crowd would do him in...but no. He loved the people. Matter of fact, Ricky set him down to crawl and he sat right down and smiled at the audience. He spent the whole competition smiling and sitting there and looking around.

Yes, you heard me correctly. Ryder never moved. He just smiled at the fans and enjoyed the attention!

This picture is Ryder meeting Willie the Wildcat after the competition. He was a little frightened.

Sleepless in Seattle

Last weekend Ryder and I flew out to visit family in Seattle. I have not been out there since Tom and Traci's wedding (about 5 years ago!). Since then...they built a beautiful home, had 2 great little kiddos (Jackson-2 and Morgan-1) and bought a dog (Madi). The trip was a blast. The weather was nice, we got to play outside. The company was great! My whole family was there. It was especially nice for Ryder to spend time with his cousins. He definitely needs the little kid interaction, he cried about 5 times because he was scared of all the noise. We need to toughen Ryder up! I did not take pictures (bad Mom), so here are the ones my family has sent so far. Enjoy!!

Thanks again to our hosts. We had a great time!!!

Haircut #2

You probably noticed in the early post with Ryder and Yogi, that Ryder got his second haircut. I know I am bias, but I think he looks adorable. He did great at the salon...although he did let out bunch of excited screams.

Good thing Ryder is good at haircuts, the poor kids grows hair, nails, and teeth at an alarming rate!

Food and Friends

Ryder and Yogi have had a cute relationship, but solid foods has opened up the whole new world of sharing. Enjoy the pictures...and the story.

The story: Ryder was sitting nicely and eating his Puffs. Yogi has tried over and over to eat the Puffs, but his nose is too big to fit through the Puffs container lid. Therefore, Yogi decided he would let Ryder do the work of getting them out...then Yogi would steal them and eat them. This lasted for about a minute and then Ryder grabbed a bat and whacked Yogi across the head. It was hysterical!! The pictures aren't great, but you can get the idea.

I know my kid can fend for himself!

Look mom...I can feed myself

OK, full warning these pictures make me look like a terrible mom. However, all the books say if he tries to feed himself...let him. So, I did. Ryder fed himself turkey and sweet potatoes. Which is basically an orange goo! Enjoy...lord knows Ryder did.

About 10 minutes into eating Ryder looked like this...

As you can tell, Ryder is definitely enjoying himself

At this point we took a break and wiped Ryder's face clean. I thought the sweet potatoes in his eyes was a little much. He continued to eat and about 10 minutes later, looked like this...

Dirtier, dirtier...and finally...fully covered...
