Grandparents Visit, Round 2

Deb, Ricky's mom, came to visit a couple weeks ago. She brought along with her Nancy Snider and Kaden (nephew). It was a slow relaxing weekend, with fun trick or treating and a great victory!

It was Homecoming, so Friday we headed to Aggieville for trick or treating and the Homecoming parade. It was Ryder's first time trick or treating, he was a penguin and he looked adorable. Of course, terrible mom here forgot her camera. Oops. I got plenty of pictures on Halloween though, next post!

Saturday was game day. KSU defeated the CU Buffaloes in an early afternoon game. It made for a fun relaxing happy afternoon with Ricky and his family.

Sunday we went trick or treating again, this time at Ricky's office. It was a great time. We were sad to see our guests go. Thanks for coming Deb, Nancy and Kaden.

Grandparents Visit Part 1

Over the next couple weeks, the grandparent are all stopping by. We started our grandparents tour with the Rahne family.

Grandma Dar and Papa came to visit this weekend, they brought along with them Ricky's godfather, Roland Seno, his wife Patty and their son Tyler. We have a couple pictures from the weekend we wanted to post.

I wish I had a picture of Tyler and Yogi. Yogi made quick friends with the teenager. I think he was hoping we would send Ryder home with Ray and Dar and Tyler could stay! Sorry Yogi...Ryder is here to stay.

Happy Birthday to Tyler!!

Game time, we watched from inside last week. It was an awesome game! K-State 62, Texas A & M 14

Ryder's First Haircut

This past Friday, 10/9, Ryder got his first haircut. He was about 5 1/2 months which was the youngest the salon had ever done. Ryder did great. He even let the lady use clippers. The salon had one woman take pictures for me and at the end they gave me a cute certificate with some of Ryder's hair. I had no idea one haircut could make a little boy look so different, but it certainly did.

I will start with some before pictures, these are from Thursday night.

Haircut pictures...

The mullet is gone...

Look, Ryder has ears again...

So darn cute...

We were going to visit Ricky right after the haircut, so I let the girls style Ryder's hair. They used gel and gave him a mohawk, spiky look. It was pretty funny.

Dad was not too pleased with the gelled hair. He tried to muster a smile...but he ended up just looking defeated.

Updates

I finally got a picture of Ryder's teeth, it took a while, but it was worth it.

We also got a couple pictures of Ryder's first time trying solid food. The first time went great...the second time...not so smooth.

We also got some great pictures of bathtime. Ryder (and Yogi) love bathtime, so it is always a treat. We were happy to have Ricky home to take some pictures for us.

Ryder's first NFL Stadium

As most of you can imagine, we all thought Ryder's first NFL game would be at Heinz Field, but it ended up this past weekend...at Arrowhead.

On Friday, Ryder and I drove to Kansas City and stayed in his first hotel room, the Sheridan Inn. He requires a lot of stuff, so getting in and out of the hotel would have been tough, but Ricky had some equipment guys get us all settled in. Thanks Ricky. Friday we spent shopping and visited Tannah’s restaurant. It belongs to the parents' of one of Ricky's tight ends. It was wonderful. I cannot wait to go back!

We also realized Friday night that Ryder was getting his second tooth. Not the greatest timing considering we were staying with Ricky, who needed his sleep to prepare. Plus, we were surrounded by players, who definitely needed their sleep the night before a game. Thankfully, Ryder did great!

On Saturday we went to Arrowhead, home of the Kansas City Chiefs. K-State won another one. They beat Iowa State, 24-23 with a blocked extra point in the last seconds of the game. It was very exciting. Nicely done K-State. You are 3-0 with Ryder there!

We were all happy to hear Maryland clinch a win over Clemson. Nice job Uncle Mike!! We went 2 for 2 this weekend. With A Steelers victory late last night, the weekend was a perfect success.
Enjoy the pictures.

Everyone thought the cupholder with a bottle was very funny. Not a common sight.

It got pretty cold at times. Ryder looked like a purple snowman (or Barney).
Hanging out with Daddy after the game, that close win was exhausting.
